Hi guys. Recently bought a clay pot about 2 feet in depth and 1 foot in width, with a couple drainage holes in the bottom. Where the pot will be will get no direct sunlight, but it's still outside in the shade. Anyone have any good ideas on what I could grow outside, in the wintertime in the shade? Virginia temperatures here so in winter probably looking at average highs of 35-45 in the wintertime, lows 25-35. Thanks for any help. Seeya!

Cyclamen do really well in the shade and have lovely pink / red flowers. Hostas also like the shade but their flowers are not very striking.

Try an aucuba or a mahonia with ivy spilling out around the bottom.
