You need to look at the chromosomes in the XX or XY area of the karyogram. If they match, it is female (XX), if they do not match it is male (XY).

If there are no labels on the karyogram and assuming the organism does not have any chromosomal abnormalities, if all of the chromosomes have a matching partner it would be female, if there are two that do not match each other it is male.

Look to see if the karyotype has a Y chromosome and only one X chromosome. If it does, then it's a boy. If the karyotype has 2 X chromosomes, then it is a girl.
