Prince Charles of Wales will definitely be a great King of his time. The best impression he had made on me was a photo taken by a passer-by of Prince Charles enjoying a cup of afternoon tea with an elderly man in his small coffee shop in London. He is very in touch with the British people and very down to earth. I hardly seen him as a snobby royalty figure who is afraid to be around and mingle in with the rest of the "common" crowd.

I don't think Charles will ever ascend the Throne... He's never shown a particular Interest in doing so. I believe the next King of England will be Prince William, & THAT- at his Father's passing... (& his Grandmother's giving it up, probably when she's in her 90's !). ...And YES, I think the Queen will outlive her Son... -There's a curious "justice" to that...

I don't think Charles will become the next king - I think Elizabeth will hand it off right to William. If she(Elizabeth) had wanted Charles to be king, she would have given him the throne years ago. I think the question is just when William will take the throne. They are basically grooming him to become the next king, it's just a matter of time.

His chances of taking the thrown are pretty unlikely. His mother will likely live for another 30 years..and by that time, he will be a feeble old man. Now, what kind of king do you think his son will be? Hopefully the Monarchy will be abolished by then.
