There is NOTHING wrong with you. It takes several years for a cycle to regulate, and in the beginning many girls skip several months between periods. Don't worry! Eventually it will regulate, you just need to give it time.

Again, there’s no such thing as an average age. You start your periods sometime during puberty – it can be as young as 8 years old or as late as 17. Clues that you’re close to starting include developing breasts, growing pubic hair and experiencing a white or yellowish vaginal discharge. Girls these days are maturing earlier than ever but it’s still worth asking your mum when she started as you’re likely to get your first period at a similar age.
Don’t panic about which period protection you should use. Many girls start off using pads. Your first period will probably be fairly light but it makes sense to choose Always® Ultra, the best protecting pad. It’s also a good idea keep a pad or two hidden in your bag or school locker – so won’t be caught by surprise if your period arrives early.
Menstruation or periods start during puberty (10-16 years) and continue until the menopause (45 to 55 years). The average menstrual cycle lasts 28 days, but commonly vary between 24 days and 35 days.
It can take up to 2 years for a girls periods to settle into a regular cycle, and some find that their periods are quite painful during this time. After puberty, most women develop a regular menstrual cycle with a relatively consistent length of time between periods. Menstrual bleeding normally lasts between 2 and 7 days, with the average length of bleeding being 5 days However, some women will always have an irregular menstrual cycle with wide variations in the interval between periods, the amount of blood lost and the duration of bleeding.

Nooo, when you first start periods are just all over the place for mainly the first year. But they can be in teenage years aswell due to hormones and stuff. It'll probably come again like 5 or 6 months later, nothing to worry about at all x

first factor - do not panic. you're gonna stay. 2d, once you're youthful your cycle could be unpredictable and every person is diverse, so do not enable absolutely everyone else's adventure scare you. There are a pair issues i'm able to think of of offhand that it may desire to be, if it is not merely your physique getting in the swing of issues. One is that, in the adventure that your physique fats is merely too low, which could end your cycle. the different is which you will have a hormonal imbalance, that's fairly hassle-free in youthful women people. My 2 sisters and that i all have low progesterone, which could do each style of mind-blowing issues on your cycle. So visit an OBGYN and tell them what's happening on. they could want you to get some bloodwork executed so they understand a thank you to handle you. yet heavily, in case you do not sense undesirable, there is probable not something properly worth stressing your self out over.

i was like that too. it's pretty normal i think. if anything be thankful u don't have it every month right now. It'll become more regular as time progresses. i think the 2nd year is about average to get on track with it. mine's still monthly but at random intervals for some reason. Don't worry about it for now, just make sure ur prepared for when it does come, and if it doen's become regular by ur 2nd year on it or so then u might wanna tell ur mom or go to ur doctor or something. ^_^

Well I assume you are not sexually active, right? So that rules out pregnancy. Since this is the first year of your period, you may have irregularities in your cycle. You may want to carry extra pantyliners with you to school, and just nincase your period shows up unexpectidly!

No! All girls are built different, not one is the same. Some have their periods later, some sooner. Also, some have it every month, and some have breaks for up to six months. Don't worry, nothing is wrong with you!!!

It's OK to be abnormal at first. You probably won't have a monthly period until your second year.
If after 2 years, your period is still not normal, you should talk to your mom about seeing a gynecologist to be checked.
