In other words, the Axis powers really had a possibility to win the Second World War or they were doomed to lose anyway?

After the 1st of September 1939 they took the first step and was doomed to lose in the long run.
The attacks on The British Ilse was an other step and USA, I hope - should never let the British down.
As far as I know, no one have able to have China under control more than 50 years.
Russia is too large and the Nazi Germany should never be able to have full control over it. Mr Hitler et cetera fooled themselves that Soviet should be a piece of cake as it could not win over the Finns, but the Soviets had to fight in unknown forests with the Finns. One the opened field the situation is different.
