Hmm....I'm feeling the same way. Are you sure it's not just an "illusion"? I mean are you taking more advanced classes? Because I'm taking more advanced classes (a college course class too), and I have two B's. This is never happened, but I know that I'm learning more this way, and that I'm still smart just have harder work or I'm less determined, or more stressed. You can't get more unintelligent. Just do your homework and stay confident.

First of all I want 2 remind u of how precious and beautiful u truly r. U r perfect and unique, there is no one else who could take your place. Every thing is unfolding just as it should and even if u can't see it yet, u have skills and gifts which will bring u much joy. Just the fact that u have posted a question about how to become smarter tells me that u r especially intelligent. Intelligence is having the wisdom to know when to ask 4 help. U have proven how humble and brave a person u r, just by understanding your limitations. There r many forms of intelligence and I sense that u have a better understanding of animals and nature than u do of people. U r probably a quiet thinker, who needs to focus intently on what ever is infront of them. Do u get overwhelmed by too much noise and activity around u? Just take a deep breath and listen to your intuition, u r alot smarter than u give yourself credit for.I don't think u need to become smarter, I think u r smart and all u need is a little confidence. I am the type of person who learns best when I am on my own, not everyone is made to operate in a classroom enviroment. Maybe next time u think u r struggling, u can study a little on your own after school. I find that I understand things better if I have a quiet and comfortable area to relax in and don't forget to have some fun and b happy. Life is a gift...........PEACE, LOVE AND LIGHT.

Less television, video games etc... More reading and include a variety of topics and genre, get plenty of SLEEP and exercise and eat a healthy diet! Be sure to recognize why you are motivated to learn the topics you are studying. Study in short periodic steps. Take a break and then go back to it. There is a such thing as over study and your brain sometimes needs a short rest. Cramming isn't effective. Fast learning equals fast forgetting. Just the fact that you are concerned about your grades reflects intelligence so hang in there.

there is no easy way to combat this. if there were every single teacher would know it and no student would fall short of any standards. understand first what you are saying. to be smart does not mean high grades and such. and to have high grades does not mean you are smart. the meaning of the word is very debated but in your case i'll assume that you mean to do good in school.
one of the best ways to learn is to visualize everything you learn. this is among the strongest learning methods because visual memory have been proven to be highly sustainable. see in your mind what you learn. if you can't then link it to something that you are more familiar with.
another thing to keep in mind is to relax from time to time. don't stress yourself over the limits for your brain will downshift into its lymbic system where learning cannot take place. if you don't understand something or something is frustration you move on and come back to it later. or better yet take time away and do something enjoyable for 15 minutes. and always remember to sleep. sleep will help wire everything you've learned during the day.

Stop banging your head with a bat. lol j/k
I find that ( for me at least ) being physically tired actually makes my mental " circuits " to get more juice. Apparently less motor function means more focus in the head. I call it getting a " mental high. "
Of course, the drawback is you feel like crap the whole time.

well I know that children who exercised or played sports tend to be smarter, so maybe keeping active can help you now too. it will relieve stress, too. and i'm sure getting plenty of rest will help. and eating well (brain food!).
