I exist. No one else does or ever has. No one has been able to prove their existence to me to any degree of satisfaction. I'm the only one on this planet. I made everyone else up so that I would not feel alone.

Purgatory is not mentioned explicitly in the Bible. The idea of Purgatory arose as an explanation of how a person who lived a dissipated life and repents late can feel he deserves to be in the same Heaven as those who lived self-sacrificial lives. Admit him to Heaven, they argued, but allow him to exist in a condition of voluntary penance until he feels comfortable with advancing to a higher level. Dante's "Purgatorio" is as graphic and logical an exposition as any. Sales of indulgences a few centuries later were an abuse of power following some much less plausible theology involving supererogation.

I gather that if I fall in the woods, you will not hear me, so I don't expect you to hear this either.

"But if someone's work is burned up, that one will suffer loss; the person will be saved, but only as through fire." (1 Cor 3:15)

"So that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable even though tested by fire, may prove to be for praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ." (1 Pet 1:7)

Are you perfect now? Most people would say no.

Will you be perfect in heaven? Most people believe yes.

Purgatory (or purgation) is the process of God's love changing our imperfect selves into perfect beings.

Depending on the amount of change needed by different people, this can be an easy or slightly harder process.

Everyone in purgatory is on his or her way to heaven.

I do not think Mother Teresa of Calcutta had a very hard time of it.

For more information see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 1030: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art12.htm

With love in Christ.

Where have you been? Pope Benedict said last year that purgatory doesn't exist as a real place.

God has his Being of himself and to himself such that he is Absolute being and the definition of existence.
Since God’s essence is his nature and God’s existence is the same as his essence it follows that God is existence.

To answer your question would be foolish, since Christians OUGHT to believe what is in the Bible. Why wouldn't they?
As to whether it actually IS in the Bible, someone above says it is not.
As to the rest of your diatribe, what is its purpose?
