i'm not sure, haven't heard anything about it on tv, but i'm in america. and it's 21 over here. i remember when i was 16, they changed the law to 18 for maybe a month, i don't even tink it was that long, and a friend of mine that was 18 was so excited because he could go and buy his own boose, and after the first time he went and bought it, it was changed back, and he was so disappointed. but it's ok, if your 18...it wont be that much longer to wait, just hang in there, your not missing out on much anyway. i used to drink all the time when i was too young, and after i made 21, i wasn't even interested, and the first time i bought alcohol, wasn't even for myself, i went and picked some up for a friend, so by the time i could drink, i didn't want to.

no confusingly, it has gone to if you look under 21 in shops they will ask you for ID. You can still drink at 18

It's not true. Even if it were, we have a problem with underage drinking as it is and a change in the law will not stop that!
