I wrote this, let me know what you think
I am a Mother, I am a Father
I am a mother and a father.
I wonder when she'll ever wonder.
I hear her cry so many times.
I see the tears come out of her eyes.
I want to make the wrong right again.
I am a mother and a father.
I pretend she'll never ask.
I feel sad that it didn't last.
I touch her face while she sleeps.
I worry that she'll hate me.
I cry when she cries.
I am a mother and a father.
I understand the time will come.
I say it can't be undone.
I dream about the past.
I try not to let that dream last.
I hope the times go by fast.
I am a mother and a father.
