Okay, well I have this group of friends, and we go to school together and hang out and stuff, just normal stuff. The thing is, I don't really like hanging out with them that much, they're kind of boring. Plus, I sometimes feel excluded from the group. Sometimes I feel like maybe I should just ditch them, because I don't really need them, and I feel retarded when I have to dumb myself down and watch what I say to hang out with them. They are my friends, and they're nice enough.. what should I do?

Okay, I didn't mean to be horrible or anything when I said they were boring me. Which also makes me kind of sound crazy. So disregard that. What I meant was, that we just do the same things all of the time, and we don't really have anything in common.

Never dumb yourself down to fit in with anyone. you can spend some time with them when they are doing something remotely interesting but the rest of the time find someone you enjoy hanging out with more, other friends not in the group, or perhaps someone older than you if you get along with them better than your friends. The biggest problem in this country perhaps is the need to fit into groups of some kind and not just be ourselves. you may even end up with others following you in order to not have to play dumb to fit in somewhere. Good Luck to you.
