Texas Longhorns are 7-2, with Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Texas A&M games to come. What is the best season finish that can be expected for them? Is a BCS game possible?

They can still win the Big-12. Not likely, but possible. They could still get into a BCS game if they run the table even if they don't win the Big-12. They probably need some of those poser teams like B.C. to lose though. They play Oklahoma State in Stillwater. That is a serious trap game for Texas. OSU can be very tough there and are playing up to their potential after a terrible start to the season.

The best that can be expected is 12-2. A BCS game is possible if they win the Big 12 Championship. However it's more likely that Oklahoma will win the Big 12 South and Texas will end the regular season either 10-2 or 9-3. If that is the case they should end up in the Cotton Bowl or Holiday Bowl.

It shouldn't be, but given the way everybody is playing it might be possible. But all of those teams, especially the first two, will test the Texas defense. Not saying the won't win out, but I am saying not to write them in with a pen.
