Increasing a compound in your blood known as nitric monoxide can help to open constricted blood vessels and lower your blood pressure. Four ways to increase nitric monoxide in your blood are:

- Aerobic exercise
- Taking a warm bath
- Breathing in and out through one nostril (by closing the other nostril and your mouth)
- Eating bitter melon, which is rich in amino acids and vitamin C

Plenty of exercise and reducing your salt intake helps.

Garlic, fish oil, hawthorn, coleus, apple cider vinegar, Indian gooseberry, cayenne pepper, coenzyme Q10, ginger and many other natural remedies that you can find in a web search for "high blood pressure" + "natural remedies" all help.

Clean, alkaline water!

Read Don Colbert's book, The Seven Pillars of Health, excellent book will give you many suggestions on healthy ways of reducing blood pressure.

He does recommend that most people will have a reduction in blood pressure just from drinking 1/2 their body weight in clean, alkaline water each day, but he goes on to say much more so I highly recommend this book.

There are three, non-pharmacological activities that help reduce blood pressure.Being no more than your ideal weight, lowering your salt intake and taking regular vigorous exercise. Though this may avoid therapy in borderline cases, I have never seen it have enough effect to remove the need for medication entirely in a patient with established hypertension.

It is potentially dangerous to try and manage significant blood pressure with homeopathic remedies, since they have been shown to be worthless and thus leave the patient at risk of heart attack and stroke!
