Okay, so earth rotates from west to east. what direction does the moon rotate in?

The moon rotates in the same direction as the earth; west to east. In contrast to what Al Capone said, if you were standing on the moon, the sun would rise in the _east_ and set in the _west_, just as it does on the earth.

i thought it was the same, the moon roates around the earth but around is own poles west to east

if you were standing on the moon it would appear the sun rises in the west and sets in the east.
