fleas reproduce in a cycle from the host once you bomb once you will need to do it several times more to kill all the fleas. I am not sure of the hatching cycle time but try to look it up then bomb a few times more with the cycle of hatching. Vacuuming will help get rid of some but you have to get all the larvae and eggs as they hatch. I would contact a vet or extermination company as to the best way of doing this.

Wash your clothes normally but put them all in the dryer - that will kill any fleas or eggs. You can just put the stuffed toys in the dryer without washing them by the way.
Sprinkle some flea powder in your vacuum bag and vacuum every inch of your apartment including corners, under furniture, even vacuum your drapes and blinds - then throw away the vacuum bag in an outside bin. Vacuum every day for at least a week and vacuum at least once a week from now on - that is the one thing you can do to really control pests.
Do you have planter areas near your apartment that are shaded and that have bark mulch in them? Fleas love those kinds of places - you can buy nemotodes online that will eat the flea eggs or you can spray for a short-term solution. Also if you have neighbors with animals that could be the source of the infestation.

You don't need to get rid of the couch, mattress or stuffed animals. Wash what you can. Vaccuum what you can't and set off flea bombs a week or two apart. That along with frequent vaccuuming and emptying the bag into a dumpster each time should do the trick.

Borax is good, and sprinkle that liberally on the carpet too.
Vacuum it up after about 20 minutes, and vacuum every day for about 2 weeks. That should get rid of the fleas.
By the way, borax will kill fleas on furniture as well.
Good luck!

Your first step is to vacuum vacuum vacuum! Vacuum your entire house paying particular attention to corners, dark crevices, under furniture, under beds, pet beds, rugs and especially around skirting boards. Put the nozzle attachment on your vacuum cleaner and thoroughly vacuum around all skirting boards and edges of fixtures.
The vibrations from vacuuming also stimulates the fleas to emerge from their cocoons and thus they will be exposed to the insecticide that will be used
Then spray the place. Repeat this every day for a few days. You'll find they're out of there!
