Why do you think that certain people should be given special benifits? We are all just humans. No one is considered inferior or superior. We are all equal. Why are we so competitive? Let us live in a world without competion! Let us live in a world where everyone would be required to work (except those above a certain age) and would be paid equally. Why would you NOT want to live in this world? Nobody would be discriminated against. To everyone else, we are all just another human working for each other.

You are not better than anyone else. I am sorry. You are just an average human and deserve to be treated as such.

Still on your Communism Crusade? That's of course what you just described, but you know what happens in the real world when Communism is tried? All the same people who are super wealthy, still end up super wealthy. All those who were in the middle and lower class, have even less. And you surrender all your rights, those who question the powerful end up in prison, dead or "disappeared"

That's real life Communism/Socialism,the only way it works is in theory inside the minds of Utopian idealists.

Well, the truth is, not everyone is equal. It may not be fair, but life is not fair. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I absolutely disagree with you about how great it would be to live in a world where everyone was made to work, and was paid the same. There are countries like that. It's called Socialism. Personally, I would be very upset if I worked hard to get through college and spent years in medical school working to become a doctor, and only got the same pay as someone who never did any work, and became a cashier. Psychologically, nobody is better than anyone else. But as far as career and social status, it is very unequal. We need people to do all of the jobs we have in the world, but I don't think the pay should be the same.

Because some people are better at some things than other people. I wouldn't want to live in a world where I was penalized for being better at my job than someone else.

Would you want all restaurants to be equally mediocre so that poor cooks wouldn't get their feelings hurt by being outdone by better cooks?

Should all clothing be of the same low quality.

How would that be controlled anyway? By the government? Like in the old Soviet Union or the People's Republic of China?

You'd love Cuba.

Discrimination is when I'm denied the opportunity to be my best.

Without competiton, how do I know what my best is?

Treating people equally means valuing their contributions by the same standard - value to society.

If everyone were paid equally, then this would not be the case.

"Equality" of that sort would be the ultimate in INequality - there would be no standards.

I'm sorta hoping this question was posted in jest.

are you insane? We are all treated equally under the law and that is good enough for me. I like being motivated and passionate about things. How do you decidew ho works what job, like who sits there punching orders into a box at mcdonalds and who has to build the roads and do really hard labor?

it sounds good, but in the end, it would end out dreadful. if doctors and things got paid the same as something easier, then everyone would take the easy option. also, its proven that we do need some form of authority figue, i mean someone would need to make sure everyone got paid the same and allocated the jobs right and that, so not everyone would be equal, they would be in higher authority

Read '1984' and 'Animal Farm' both by George Orwell! You may also wish to read books by Ayn Rand.

The society you describe can be found in a Gulag labor camp or a Socialist Utopia like North Korea!

Climb out of your shell, you are good at many things. Find out what they are and excel at them. Don't hide behind 'equality'! Who wants to be like everybody else?

If everyone was paid the same no matter what they did what would be the point of becoming a doctor, engineer, or software developer.

This concept is referred to as communism. It doesn't reward exceptional abilities or efforts by an individual. No incentive leads to diminished innovation.
