help me with windows firewall??????

so i have a workgroup hooked up in my school office AND ONE LAPTOP GETS INTERNET CONNECTION THRU THE MAIN COMPUTER with a lan wire if i turn my(laptop) firewall on i lose the connection to the internet! am i protected thru the main computer????

Check your uPnP settings, also on this problem PC, check the Internet Gateway settings, sounds like its piggybacking from something else.
