Actually, there is no "president" of the United Nations. The actual term is the secretary-general. His name is Ban-Ki Moon. He replaced Kofi Annan last year.
For the Security Council, there is a president. It is a rotating presidency and currently Ghana is the president of the S.C. for 2007. I hope this was helpful.
