my son is teething pretty bad. How high can the temp go for it? I know they can have a low grade fever but what is considered "take to DR asap"? hes 8 months old

Anything over 101 in an infant is considered HIGH. I would make sure you are treating it. If Tylenol or Motrin controls it you shouldn't need an ER visit. If you do treat it and the medication doesn't lower it head to Dr. You also don't want to treat a fever for more than a couple days. Make sure you are giving lots of fluids and that the baby gets lots of rest. GOOD LUCK!

Anything over 101 in a newborn (0-3 months) and anything over 103.5 from then on.

Or, anything that wont come down with tynelol.

Its best to alternate between tylenol and mortin.

Fevers that last more than a week should warrent a visit to the doctor to make sure its nothing more serious than teething.
