... that makes the Lions the leaders of the NFC North. Isn't that a sign of the apocolypse? I've always rooted against the Pack, but what can we do to make sure they win that game?

Throw the football. I don't care what their pass defense ranking it is because it's largely inflated by their horrible run defense. If you look at the film, the linebackers for the Broncos look absolutely clueless in pass defense in the middle. What does Green Bay like to do? Throw the short and intermediate routes in the middle. Hmmmm....something tells me Mike McCarthy and Brett Favre will have a game plan to exploit that weakness. Also the Green Bay offensive line has gotten healthy again; and unless you've been asleep for the season; they cant run block great, but they sure can pass protect. And have proven it against teams like Philly, New York, San Diego, Chicago, and Washington. Brett Favre has only been sacked 11 times.

On defense, it's very simple: play strong run defense and lock up the WRs in man coverage. Somebody PLEASE tell Bob Sanders, the defensive coordinator for the Packers, to double team the Tight End, thats been the only weakness on this defense. With Javon Walker out, Brandon Marshall will be matched up against Al Harris. Adavantage? Harris no question. Charles Woodson will be matched up on Brandon Stokley. Advantage? Woodson. Throw in the fact the defensive line gets great pressure and throw in some blitzes every now and then, and the Green Bay defense should be fine.

Bottom line here, itll be a close game, but with the way Denver has been letting teams stay in games as long as they do, theres no way your going to win against Brett Favre if you give him ANY type of extra chances and have to limit him as much as possible. Also I don't think Jay Cutler can beat teams yet on his own. He did play well against Pittsburgh, but he made some throws he forced way too much, and that won't cut it against Favre. Look for the Green Bay defense to start pulling the game away about early 4th quarter.

The Broncos are weak with their losses last week. Take out Elam (the game winner for all of Denver's three wins this year) and you give the Pack a better edge.

The Packers are playing well this year. Don't count them down.
