He's 6'1" and about 140, he's a pretty thin guy and big shirts look really goofy on him, but he's also tall so it's hard to find one that matches. When I was trying to get one online it was giving me numbers and I don't get the system. Thanks a lot

The number is the circumference of the jersey's chest. Generally, you want a number about 3-4 inches bigger than his chest measurement.

If it's for a gift and you can't get a measurement from him without giving it away, call his mom, she might know. :)

get him a large, does jerseys are huge specially when you are a thin person, also try buying the jersey from ebay. i got mine from ebay a week ago for $30.00 in the store its more like 100.00

Large should be fine...Medium might be too short since he's tall, and XL would fall off him...*L*...
