I have a 1983 Honda Civic and the turn signals dont work when I turn them on. The lights work for when I put on my flashers but the turn signals don't. Does anyone have any ideas? Could it be a turn signal relay switch or something? Thanks

Sounds like the flasher relay. The 4-ways use a separate flasher so that verifies the wiring. Since both sides are out the switch should be okay.

It's gotta be a short in the wiring between your blinkers and the lights.. since the lights are obviously fine.
Open your panel under the steering wheel, see if there's anything visually wrong, otherwise take it to a shop.. this could cause a few traffic tickets, or worse: an accident.

Check the fuse panel in the car, usually down by your left knee beneath the dash on the drivers side.
