ABC's Scariest Places On Earh traveled there but couldn't mention a name or exactually were it was because of it's terrible past. It was closed around the 1990's. Also a woman patient was murdered by a male patient with broken glass pieces, her dismembered body parts were spread around the aslyum and the man was never caught...any ideas?

Taps has already done Waverly, this is a return investigation like the Stanley Hotel live show. My guess is if they don't want to give out the name, they either don't want to be overrun by lookeyloos or thrill seekers.

Don't think I have ever seen the one you are talking about. Seems odd that they can go there but are not allowed to give it's name. Guess they don't want intruders snooping around. Waverly Hospital on Sci-Fi this Wednesday should be good though.

Was that already on? Dangit. Oh well at least TAPS "Ghost Hunters" is going to be on Wednesday and it will be live. It should be pretty intersesting. It's on Scifi at 8 or 9 pm central time.
For the question, I have no idea sorry.

Well, it certainly wasn't Waverly. Waverly wasn't an insane asylum. It was a TB hospital in Kentucky.

Sounds really stupid.... they could not mention the name because they did not want more people to flock there. You can probably google search it or go to gsi.com and see if they know.

I think it was actually Danvers State Hospital, in Danvers, MA, and before they finished converting it into condos, they were still finding unmarked graves.

I think it's much more likely that they couldn't mention the name or location because they were exaggerating so much about the history that they were opening themselves up to a libel lawsuit.

I saw that show. I am wondering where it is myself. Perhaps that is why TAPS has yet to investigate. They tend to name infamous places that they go to.

Every single insane asylum seems to be haunted. How is that possible?
Perhaps they aren't mentioning the name because they don't want their BS claims to be scrutinized.
