A scientist friend showed me this when I was 14. I'm 38 now, and trying to remember how to put it on paper. I keep proving that 0 = 0. Move over, Sir Isaac.

Are you talking about exact numbers or numbers rounded up and down? Cos by rounding numbers 0.5 can equal 1 so 0.5+0.5 can be 1+1, giving sums of 1 & 2 respectively. In this case, 2 can equal 1.

The only way you can do it is by dividing by 0 or an equivalent expression, which is forbidden.

But don't forget that in statistics, for large values of 1, 1 = 2 for small values of 2.
