Dave King has coached both the Canadian National Team and the Austrian National Team (as well as the Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets)
George Kingston has coached the National Teams of Italy, Norway, Austria, and Japan at one time or another (as well as being the original coach of the San Jose Sharks).
Where you were born is irrelevant.............if you are a good coach, anybody who meets your demands can hire you.

Any non-player on the team can be from any country in international play...in any sport for that matter. That cricket coach for Team India (I think) who was "murdered" was English or Irish wasn't he? There's a Canadian who works for the Raptors who was offered the assistant coach position for Team USA in the Bejing Olympics. The only thing about nationality that matters are the players, not the coaches or the equipment managers or anybody who's not playing.

How did Wayne Gretzky play for Team Canada and is now Coyotes coach/owner? Sorry to answer a question with a question.
She actually resides in Mass and went to Northeastern U. Probably has dual citizenship as well. She was born in Canada.
Brett Hull was born in Canada but played for U.S. in international.

Citizenship isn't required for most national sports team coaches. It only applies to the actual players participating.
