don't blind people have good lives?

Not usually, you can look at the good in people, things that happen, situations that are difficult, Life in general:

However this is not to say life will be good to you:

It means that you will handle life much better than if you only see the negative:

Sometimes the worst things can happen to the best people, and if you see only the good in life, for some reason you may even receive more criticism, jealousy & gossip.

Always look on the bright side of life, much more enjoyable!

One has to define what exactly "good" is. Do you mean socio-economic advancement? Societal relationships? If you simply mean positive mental attitude, ie psychological adjustment/acceptance of one's positive and negative experiences, then it's is possible that you will at least feel better. Though empirically, there is no way to judge.
Philosophical rhetoric aside, well, life ain't fair, one ain't "entitled", and you aren't put on this planet to make everyone else happy-to the exclusion of your own; so if you look for positive issues in your life, yes you will enjoy your life more. Also, negative experiences won't bother you so much.
Einstein once said, "95% of people go through their lives like they are in a dream. The other 5% live in a state of continual childlike wonder." Personally, I want to be in that 5%

When you look at the good in life, Life seems to be on your good side and just have a happy day, but when you look at the bad side, life seems to take a turn for the worse. For example: I was at a play and I was telling myself that it was the worst play i have ever seen in the history of plays but if I had thought good thoughts, it could have been a perfectly enjoyable play!

No, just looking at the good will not make life good to you, but the more good you do, the more good will come back to you.

No, but if you feel good inside everything else will follow! You can buy the most expensive and fanciest clothes and still be a miserable person. Clothes will not cover the ugly inside. It all starts from within. Then you could wear a tow sack and be bubbly and very attractive inside and out.

No, it just helps you get through when the going gets rough. Using a bad situation to your own advantage is a good way of dealing with crises, if you have the bottle.

There is much truth in the saying: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Replace the word 'good' in your question with 'beauty', and it will sound: "If you look at the beauty in someone, will that someone be beautiful to you?"

I have friends with plain-Janes as girlfriends, and they claim that their chosen girls are the most beautiful in their lives. Now, what does that tell you?

Good, bad, beautiful, ugly, are subjectives. As with rights and wrongs, or blacks and whites, 'good' remains pretty much at the mercy of the person holding the opinion.

Having an opinion is a mental state, and we choose the opinion we want, internalise it, and believe it! In return, external factors will come together to support our convictions, be it to our benefit or otherwise.

Let me share with you the story of two sisters whose dying father said, "I am leaving you each with a store to run, and a small sum of money, and a piece of advice:
1. never reclaim any money that you have loan out, and
2. never walk under the sun."

They each then run their own business, according to their chosen values and principles, and in addition, they adhere religiously to their late father's wishes.

Eventually, one of them led a financially comfortable life, while the other became dependent on assistance.

On a day out, they shared their stories and relate their experiences.

The poorer sister sighed: "I have kept to our father's wishes, and it turn out to be a very bad advice. The people who borrowed money from me do not have the discretion to return it to me, and since I never asked for repayment, they assume it is alright to put off till later.

"And since I cannot walk under the sun, I have to catch a taxi in the early hours, and close the shop only after sundown, and since it is dangerous in the neighbourhood, I have to get a cab to fetch me right at the door."

The other girl listened with sadness in her heart, as she was very fond of her sister. She has been lending assistance, of course, but her sister needed to find her own way out.

"I have also paid heed to Pa's advice," said she. "To his first advice, I decided that it is best not to lend out money, because I believe that people are like what you have experienced, and it is hard to get them back if we cannot ask.

"As to the second, I decided to buy me a big umbrella, that can shield me sufficiently from the sun. It is a small investment, but I save enough money as a result."

And so it is, that one little message could be interpreted and acted upon differently by two people, that eventually brings benefits to one, and misfortune to the other.

So how shall it be? Will looking at the good in life be the answer to all our problems? We each decide, and bring upon ourselves the consequences of our choices.

Yes! If you "feel" something is missing, you will turn the awareness toward "What" is missing. This leads to more of what's missing. Peace!
