The Scottish parliament votes to give it's nationals free benefits which are not available to the English but are paid for by those South of the border! Why doesn't it use its tax raising powers to pay for these benefits? Choke on your porrige over that!

Ha, ha, ha :) I want to vote for an Independent England, never mind Scotland. I'm fed up with Scots in Westminster talking about Global warming, then traveling down from Scotland emitting tons of carbon and then putting the cost on their expense account which is in turn is paid by English tax payers to the tune of 130,000 a year, they can do us all a favor and go to their own Parliament.

Another Sun reader. BTW - Scots are still part of the UK so we are UK nationals. Just because our Government in Scotland has devolved powers in things such as education (education etc has always been different in Scotland than in England) doesn't mean we get free benefits. These benefits you talk about are paid from the money we already get from London, we don't get anymore. It's just we know how to spend our money wisely in Scotland that's all!

More information please, Is this the myth about free personal care for the elderly cropping up again. My father had this so called free personal care and had to pay 1300 pounds a month for it.

write to your MPS then not on here, as for wasting tax payers money i think you will find the English mps did very well with their expenses and I'm sure you will all remember your history ( yeah right stupid young ones of today i can see that ) it was you English who wanted a union and came begging us for one not the other way around

There will be people that will write in and claim that England took all "their" oil, this is not true because from what I have had explained to me by those studying the Laws of the Sea, most of this oil was in English territory.
