I, Norton I, Emperor of Yahoo! Answers and Protector of Polls & Surveys will thusly search for any marbles having been lost during the course of a person's visit to our empire, and expeditiously return said marbles to their rightful owner.

Yes, when I was little I had loads of marbles, I lost them all to a boy in my class in an unfair game. He was a big bully :(

"Losing your marbles" means that someone has lost their ability to exercise sound judgment. "Losing your bearings" is a saying that comes from the inability to properly navigate a ship (or plane). You are off course. One is more general addresses deficient faculties. The other is more specific and does not address an inability to think prudently, but rather, a failure to stay on track with a particular issue (like insisting that you'll run a "clean" campaign and then overtly suggesting material that is of questionable purity).

I'm pretty sure my reservoir had a slow leak. They're completely gone now, and I don't think I care. Every once in a while I miss them, but then I see something shiny and I'm OK again.

NO!
The nice nurse lady said she was keeping them in a safe place and I could have them back if I didn't bother the other nice people here, and if I took my meds like I'm spposed to.

Marbles are so over-rated anyway.

Yes, but I found a lovely slightly older girl who shared a pot of Petit Filous with me and then helped me get them back.

She was good at handstands, too.
