In 1986 one of the reactors on Chernobyl exploded, leading to what is known as one of the worst disasters in history. Approximately 30 people died immiediatly, many more died in the days and months that followed. It is estimated that we will see the sideeffects of the disaster in up to 70 years, such as: cancer, deformated and abnormal children in the area.
In december 2004 a tsunami hit south Asia, at least 155.000 died.
In 1918 the worldwide spanish influenza epidemic caused at least 25 million deaths.
1945: Hiroshima and Nagasaki: 110.000 people died, 130.000 were injured. 5 years later the number of deaths caused by radiation had reached 230.000
9/11 2001. A date that has marked the world forever. Suicide attacks on the WTC by islamic terrorists lead to the death of 2974 innocent people.
The history says it all. We have already seen many disasters, and there's more to come.
