We don't. I'm not sure where you got that idea, but it is a totally false one. Abortion in the US has only been a right since Roe v. Wade in 1973. That has been a mere 34 years in comparison to the tens of thousands of years that women have been giving birth.
The notion of women's equality is only contemporary to the late 19th century. Birth control and family planning were early feminist issues and they was fought for decades before becoming legal. Abortion was not legal at all in all but a few places and those were typically outside the US.
My recommendation to you is to read history in order to understand where this springs out of. That is the only way that you can stop the flow of false ideas.

Why is a woman required to take to term a pregnancy that was forced upon her (rape or incest), occurred while she was unable to resist (drunk or drugged), or doesn't have the judgement to resist (under age or mentally incompetant.) I know a woman who was clinically depressed and while in college drank too much and had sex with a "friendly" guy and became pregnant.
There are risks to pregnancy, 1 in 4800 in the USA die with higher rates in other countries.
If the abortion is of a baby (one who can survive outside the womb) that is one thing, but most places, most abortions are of fetuses that modern medicine can not keep alive if they are born at that time - so keeping them in the womb until they can be born is imprisoning the mother.

Not Giving any of my views on abortion. Ojectively a woman has every right to control her body as a man has a right to control his body. See the Roe versus Wade decision on abortion. If a woman has no power over her body who does? Men.

Simply put, she doesn't - she has an EQUAL right. Forcing a woman to go full term, however, makes giving birth an obligation and I'm not sure that's a road we want to go down.

Why are you asking such a question? No woman has more right to abort than to have a baby. You're not making any sense.

Giving birth is not illegal! If it were, the world would not be as busy as it is today now would it? I think that the only time you should really have an abortion is when you are either raped, or your life/health is at risk.

She has the unquestioned right to have the baby. Only if she beats it senseless or starves it within a few hours of death will anyone step in.

Each right should be equal in our enlightened society and should be a personal decision. These issues have no place in politics and are definitely not a valid reason for voting for a particular candidate.

It depends on the situation. If you don't like abortion, don't have one. It is between a woman and her Dr.

Because she carries it, goes through morning sickiness, prenatal exams, and the pain of childbirth, as well as the pain and tiredness afterwords. If a man had to do it, they would probably be more likely to use contraception
