WASHINGTON (AFP) - Chief UN atomic watchdog Mohamed ElBaradei said Sunday he had no evidence that Iran is building nuclear weapons and accused US leaders of adding "fuel to the fire" with recent bellicose rhetoric.

"I have not received any information that there is a concrete active nuclear weapons program going on right now," the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency told CNN.
"Even if Iran were to be working on a nuclear weapon ... they are at least a few years from having such a weapon," he said, citing assessments by US officials themselves.

The Atomic agency was right on Iraq and are probably right again on Iran.
Americans must refuse to be lied into another war
American conservatism has grown into a cult.Everyone is out to get them and everything that's not slanted to the far right is liberally biased.
Science, truth and facts are all less important than the ideology. It's good to see more and more Americans waking up and realizing they can't take conservatism serious anymore until it rids itself of this cultist spirit

This is much like the alleged WMD. I thought you were going to describe some incident in which the Bush administration had intervened to ruin or put a dishonest spin on science - as they have been doing with the global warming scientific data reporting.
I wonder sometimes why anyone with more than 3 brain cells believes anything this administration says - especially when it comes to science.

Iran has stated that they want to build nuclear energy plants. That may or may not be true, but we can't just keep starting wars because of what we think countries are going to do. I agree, I think Bush is adding fuel to the fire--I think that's what Putin and these other people are trying to tell him. It's much too early to start a show-down with Iran.

Mohammed ElBaradei works for the UN. He is a trusted individual, and has no ties to terrorist organizations. There is no reason for anyone to answer this question with stereotyping the man for his name.

So ; "Mohamed" says` he finds` no evidence that his Muslim jihad brotherhood is building potential nuclear capability of weapons`.. and he told this on CNN ? Now there`s a family reunion ; CNN , & Mohamed !! If Mohamed say`s he doesn`t have any information of Iran developing nuclear weapons , then how is he justifing his statement , that they are at least a few years away from having them ? If they are not working on them , how can you set a time table of when they will have them . From a starting point of nothing to having nuclear weapons would certainly take much more than a "few" years !!

Keep in mind what Bush once said "If you aren't with us you are against us".
Did you think he only meant that about other countries who might support terrorism? He meant it politically as well!Look what happened when Dems started to talk about re-deploying our troops from Iraq.............Repubs started calling them cut&runners! Some even went so far as calling them traitors! So if you don't see reality as he does you are a traitor who stands against him!
HOW AMERICAN IS THAT VIEW?

Once again, scientist and their evil propaganda to find the "truth." Who cares? If I say something enough times, is it then wrong? NO! The facts has to be made, not found. That's called capitalism.
