Hi try this. You may have flooded it. So do this, make sure FOR SURE you are in Neutral and also keep the clutch in and pull the throttle back a lot when you start it.

If you hear it start and go vrooooom then release the throttle back but not all the way. It's safe to do that.

Also make sure someone hasn't shut the fuel valve off. On some bikes there is a valve that you can turn if you run out of gas and it goes to RESERVE, then you can also switch it to RUN or OFF. Sometimes folks switch it to off by mistake or while cleaning it.

Also make sure the Emergency shut off switch (Usually red and on the handlebars on right side) is not set to off.

If the spark, fuel and compression are ok, then it might be the timing is off. was the bike running recently? have the timing checked if you're sure all other things are right.

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.
2 & 4 stroke engines can have similar problems, with different repair solutions.

The only thing I can add here is check that your ignition timing hasn't slipped.
