I was a camp years ago and on a day outing we came across a rattlesnake at the edge of the path. Our counsellor just kept everybody calm and had us move away slowly. Most snakes are not interested in you as far as a meal. YOu will be too big, but if they are, stay calm and back away. don't turn your back to the snake, that way you can see what it is doing.

Just say "nice little snaky " in a real friendly voice and start backing away. Repeat if necessary. Make some jungle noises if it gets too quite. Have a nice safari. Don`t eat no yellow snow.
