think this question was raised before and best answer was T Blair is setting his sight on being the next pope,UK,and Europe are not big enough for him,He wants the world at his feet

His wife is catholic and the catholic church always insists that any children should be brought up in their faith. So he will have had pressure in the family to join.
It's also possible he hopes that ten Hail Mary's and a confession will clean his soul of the awful sin he committed sending our troops into Iraq!

probably so that he could go to confession and be forgiven on a weekly basis. God was having nightmares about him turning up at the pearly gates asking to have all the lies deception treachery and mass murder forgiven in one session..

I believe he is sincere in his desire to join the Roman Catholic Church. Is nothing wrong with that - I only wish he had done it while PM.
