With the iPod, you receive a USB cord that connects the iPod to your computer. You just hook it up and the music, videos, podcasts, etc. that are in your iTunes are automatically transferred to your iPod.

When you purchased your iPod, you should have received a cd which, when loaded onto your computer syncs the two together,. Once you have done that,. and put some music into your iTunes library, the next time you plug your iPod into your PC it'll automatically look for new songs to upload.

first you plug your ipod into your computer. Itunes will then open up and you will be led through the rest of the way. It is free to copy your music from itunes to ipod although if you have no music on your itunes you will have to obtain some (this can cost money).

When you buy your ipod it should come with a "sync cable" if you connect the cable to your ipod then to a computer itunes should pop up and transfer songs. Now if you connect it to the cpu and it doesnt transfer there are 2 things that can happen.
1.the sync cable doesnt work
2.under the setting for your ipod the option that transfers to your ipod automatically is not checked.
(yes it is free)

once you have songs in your itunes library, it is free to put them onto your ipod.
all you have to do is plug the ipod in, and then register it with apple (also free) by following the steps that it says. then whenever you plug it in, it will transfer songs automatically.

You simply drag and drop them from the library in iTunes onto your iPod.

You have to either buy the mp3s from iTunes or find them elsewhere...some of them are free on the web.

Or you can rip them from cd's in your personal collection, or from the library.
