Last week I broke my big toe and, in spite of my efforts, I didn't manage to fight back the tears.
I felt ashamed to be such a cry baby...

My parents always told me that big girls don't cry.

But is it true...?

That's not true at all! Adults cry for all kinds of reasons, its essential for maintaining good emotional health. If you don't cry, you will bottle up your emotions and this can cause mental and physical illnesses, like heart disease, ulcers, depression and more. Your parents were probably trying to toughen you up, but they are wrong about crying...

It is true that adults don't cry over little things like small children who are three to four years of age. Physical pain will bring a tear or two, but it is supposed to. Usually even worse if you do it to yourself accidentally -- like you when you hurt your toe.

Best wishes for a quick recovery.....Jeff

Yes your parents are right why are you crying. ( Kidding)

Whats going on do your parents think you are some kind of drama queen? If pain huts enough, How are you going to seal your lips, your feelings, your emotions?
Geese , maybe if you get in a bloody accident you had better clean up before your parents arrive.
Sorry Mom and Dad but we are entitled to cause all the
dra ma we want........
