there's nothing worse than a guilt-plagued vacation. It's a total waste. Only go if you can feel good about it. Hey, if you can't swing it, you can't swing it! No big deal.

If you are going to be upset with yourself when you return.....don't go. Your cousin will understand, push back the trip until you feel like you can afford it buy paying with mostly cash.
She will get over the "upset' part eventually.
How long will it take you to get over bad credit?
What will happen if some emergency comes up and your cards are all maxed out? Can you call your cousin for a loan?

Honesty is the best policy.
Just be upfront with her and tell her you'd love to go, but are in a financial pinch right now. If she's a good friend/cousin she'll be understanding. Vegas is one of the best places to vacation, but if you don't have the money you're not going to enjoy yourself.

You will have a great time if you do go.
But if you really can't afford to go then I would tell the truth and say it's not in the budget right now but maybe you can go out to dinner or something not as expensive.
Good Luck)

It depends on your relationship with your cousin. If she's really close, you may want to go. But I'm sure she'll understand if you can't afford it. If you can't go, try to do something for her while she's there. Call the hotel and see if you can get some room service sent to her and pay for it yourself, something like that. That way she'll know you still care, just couldn't make this trip.

If you don't want to go then I would be honest with her. And if you don't have the cash to go, then deffinatly don't go, especially not to vegas. That could end up being a disaster. If you are afraid of dissapointing her, then tell her that you can't afford to go at this time. Don't throw off your budget and use money you don't have to make someone else happy.

Do you have somebody you can share a room with? With December low rates and splitting room costs it might not be too expensive. But if you still can't afford it, I applaud you for not falling into the credit card trap. More people should be as responsible with their money like you.

I live by this standard: If I cannot afford it, I cannot go. Also, if I really don't want to go, I don't go. Send her a b-day card or gift through the mail instead, with regrets.

I love to go to Las Vegas and would do almost anything for a chance to play and have fun there.
Do not go because it is not what you want to do.
