I was driving down the road few days ago, and at a stop light there was this college girl who was dressed in a very tight pink t -shirt and skimpy shorts jumping up n down with a banner in her hand.....I read her banner...it said....

Do you like boobs? and then there was this other line saying that its breast cancer awareness week and she was collecting money for that....

My question is....do you think such method of awareness is right? I was frankly not pleased... I just didnt think the way she was trying to get attention was right?...is it just me or does any one feel the same? this is not anything againt spreading awareness but just the way it was done...wht do you think?

Thanks for reading thru...

I think that's disgusting. The sex taboo is an important part of our culture and tradition and we mustn't sacrifice that. For thousands of years our society has been successful without using words like 'b**b' in public, and it's only in recent decades that people started doing these immoral things. Why give people the freedom to do this lewd and abominable stuff when our traditions are historically against it? The important thing is to make sure we go on retaining the same cultural taboos we have in the past. Anything else leads to devaluing our traditions, and as we all know that's a terrible thing that can never be allowed to happen.

Yes. Duh. Of course it's right. These people are trying to fight a terrible disease that kills thousands of people every year. Do you really think that just because our society has had a sex taboo for thousands of years, that that's a good reason to prevent these people from trying to fund such a worthy cause? Do you really think not only that sexual freedom is bad, not only that freedom of sexual SPEECH is bad, but that freedom of sexual speech is bad enough that it is more important to deny it to people than it is to cure deadly diseases? Not to appear offensive, but I just really detest the idea of tradition standing in the way of progress. In fact, I don't like the idea of tradition to begin with, because the concept itself is fundamentally against that of progress.

Not that that was the correct approach, but maybe they were targeting a demographic who normally would care less about the problem at hand, much less donate any money for the cause.

Eh, it's a type of humor that I don't really appreciate but I'm getting more and more conservative as the years go on. I probably would have thought it was funny when I was a teenager.

I think she had the wrong ideal for the situation wrong. Lets say to slutty. It would seem to me she was more focus on her own boobs Rather the women and men whom have fought breast cancer

I personally wouldn't do it that way, but it is probably the best way to raise awareness among men.

I don't think that that was the correct approach...that may have got some attention, but that is degrading to her. She should be smart enough to know that she's attracting negative attention.
