I am having trouble choosing what to minor in between mass communication and art. I am a computer science major (Junior) and I plan to do scientific and artistic things with my career.

I would minor in communications because I love to write screenplays and television shows and also get involved in media producing such as television, and computers and I would one day want to make my own movie.

I would minor in art because I love making art (even though I can be self-conscious) and I would love exhibiting my artwork, and develop my skills as an artist.

Overall I am a creative and scientific person and people usually tell me to minor in communications because its more practical. I have to admit I am leaning towards art for some reason, but can anyone tell me the realistic pros and cons of these minors and how they would compliment my major (if they do).

Communication is more practical but if you really are more interested in art go for it. The main focus is on your major not your minor so choose what makes you happy,
