history paper help?!!!!!!?

i have to write a 2page essay for american history. the topic is :: my role in honoring america's veterans ::

the paper is supposed to be like a speech. but i dun evev know where to start! let alone how to turn this into 2 pages!

please help!!!!!!!!!!

Do you know any veterans? My Uncles were in WWII and Korean War. They have been honored with parades on Memorial Day and medals. There are tons of veterans who would love to share with you. See if you know anyone.

I would start off first by discussing WHY we should honor veterans. Sure the concept is fairly obvious but it makes good introduction material. If you don't already do anything to honor veterans thinkof things you COULD (or would) do. Some things are small like standing respectfuly, removing your hat, etc during the NAtional Anthem or the Pledge of Allegiance. Make sure yu encourage others to do the same and educate them about why it's important. More involved things you could do would be to place flags on graves during Veteran's Day or Memorial Day. You could write letters or send cre packages to deployed serviemembers. You could volunteer at the VA hospital. Make sue you tell a veteral "Thank you for serving" when you meet one. I hope this helps get you started.

Start by saying how grateful you are to those who put themselves at risk for their country. Go through how many were lost in each war and what we have now because of their sacrifice. How did their families feel while they were at war and how did we welcome them home.
