Investigating reporters are killed in Iran. Try Asia Times instead.
Just google it and go to Middle East.
Today it seems President AMDJ has some internal battles to fight as sanctions are hurting the country and he has two leaders above him to answer to.
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/IJ27Ak03.html
Google: The Supreme Leader of Iran. He is on top. Looks like he has to fight him first.
AMDJ is not in charge of the weapons per say, but he does have a well funded Revolutionary Guard that is very powerful. They have no nuclear power now anyway... but they have some pretty mean missiles. AND lots of out sourcing to look for should anyone strike Iran.
So, no,not yet. Diplomacy & sanctions are working. Even that other radical Putin is in on it. He saez he helped with his "friend" Bush defuse a global tragedy. (China Daily news.com.cn ) Read on and see what other papers say. But like above said... beware of the propaganda. I have found these so far credible. Persian Journal as well. Mostly because a week later it comes out in US news. Or the Press Conference where I knew what Bush was saying and not saying from doing my research. Enjoy the weekend homework.
edit: Sorry forgot who asked this... no disrespect, actually I got more links to study myself from these posts. I try and read as much as I can before I come on. But , wow, alot of stuff out there. No telling what's really going on.
About the Nuclear facility. The US and other countries have them for numerous uses. The Lady who pioneered the Freeze on World wide power just passed away I saw. But that is gone and we have to address some equality issues. Then you have the plorification (sp?), the re sale for alternate means problems. IN a stable Iran this could enhance their nation considerably. They really are a booming nation. But yet the extremist factions are a continued problem all over the region. The fact that they have been helping Iraq fight US is cause for removing them. But just how? As bedouins they are extremely hard to pin down.

Sorry that story is a fabrication and a lie serving the Zionist interests. Iran has attacked no other country in the last hundred years so it's very unlikely they would start now and espically against Israel and the US. Think about it for a second ignoring all the propaganda that's obviously loaded on your hard disk. Why would they choose suicide? Israel is a super power backed by the worlds only hyper power.
About the "own words"comment, please read this:
Iran is not threatening Israel with destruction. Iran's president has not threatened any action against Israel. Over and over, we hear that Iran is clearly "committed to annihilating Israel" because the "mad" or "reckless" or "hard-line" President Ahmadinejad has repeatedly threatened to destroy Israel But every supposed quote, every supposed instance of his doing so, is wrong.
The most infamous quote, "Israel must be wiped off the map", is the most glaringly wrong. In his October 2005 speech, Mr. Ahmadinejad never used the word "map" or the term "wiped off". According to Farsi-language experts like Juan Cole and even right-wing services like MEMRI, what he actually said was "this regime that is occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time."
What did he mean? In this speech to an annual anti-Zionist conference, Mr. Ahmadinejad was being prophetic, not threatening. He was citing Imam Khomeini, who said this line in the 1980s (a period when Israel was actually selling arms to Iran, so apparently it was not viewed as so ghastly then). Mr. Ahmadinejad had just reminded his audience that the Shah's regime, the Soviet Union, and Saddam Hussein had all seemed enormously powerful and immovable, yet the first two had vanished almost beyond recall and the third now languished in prison. So, too, the "occupying regime" in Jerusalem would someday be gone. His message was, in essence, "This too shall pass."

Iran Security Council sanctions:
I can imagine posters here saying down with Bush or impeach the buggar etc and in the same breath say let's bomb Iran, while others would say "I told you so!" being pro-Bush, anti-peace, and seeing a war brewing being started by Iran.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has no love for the Jews, yet words are merely words. Bush's action, though, are more criminal and the reason which incites people like Ahmadinejad to act. It all starts with the Bush Senior administration and their war in Iraq. They were warned by many people NOT TO DO THIS as it would destabilize the region. The solution is not to sanction Iran and again use false logic and false information as well as fear tactics to do this, but the solution is to straighten this mess and bring justice back to the world once again! Does the Bush administration want to do this? Does Rudy or any Republican candidate for President? How about the Democrats?
The true question that Americans need to ask themselves is: "Is it good and right to trade their futures for a lie and save the President and his administration from indictment for high crimes and treason?" This is where we (America) reside today with respect to world affairs and the question of the Iraq war!
Your futures versus not punishing Bush!

we are being lied to approximately Iran. Iran would not want to initiate a conflict, Israel needs u . s . of america to wreck Iran for them. yet after the huge rip-off and lies that have been informed approximately Iraq's pretend WMD, the lies that have been perpetrated by capability of Jews interior the media, further and further individuals are skeptical approximately Jewish claims of Iran. the superb element that Israeli supporters and defenders of Jewish media lies might desire to declare that Iranians need to be mass murdered is that Ahmadinejad "denied the holocaust." yet even this may be a lie. Ahmadinejad basically stated that the holocaust isn't allowed to be researched and suggested from a scientific, academic viewpoint. and whether Ahmadinejad relatively would not have self assurance that the holocaust happened is not any rationalization for Iranian electorate to be mass murdered.

Why does no one on the right seem to understand that the president of Iran does not control their military. Plus Iran is about 5 years away from being able to build a bomb, which give us time to try other options before deciding to attack. What the hell is the hurry to get into another war?

The Iranian constitution allows very little power to the President. We have no need to stop him because he has no ability to make war without the consent of the Ayatollahs and Parliament ('Councils' in Iranspeak).

To No n: so words that actually come out of someones mouth aren't accurate if you don't like the source it came from. Interesting.
Spartacus, I firmly believe not only the US but many other nations will NEVER let Ahmadinejad have nuclear power. I'm sure there is a lot happening that we don't know, and I think we might likely hear in the near future that Iran's nuclear facilities have met the same fate that Syria's met.
EDIT: NO N, is this site a little more to your liking.

"As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map," said Ahmadinejad, referring to Iran's revolutionary leader Ayat Allah Khomeini.

He sounds as retarded and religiously lunatic as Bush.
We should put them both into a big hole and let twelve
Holy White Buddhist Elephantes dump it fixed. We could
use the money, undoubtly gathered from PayTV, for welfare.
