I don't typically go Black Friday, but I did go last year.

It depends on what you are looking for.

Typically, you want to get to the mall by 6 a.m., or whenever the stores open (in some cases this is 5 a.m.)

Last year was insane b/c people were trying to get wii's and ps3's. So there was all sorts of insanity like people lining up at Best Buy at 8 p.m. the day *before* Black Friday.* First time I've ever seen that before. The first person in line was some loser who didn't even celebrate Thanksgiving (blasphemy!)

And since that time, waiting times have become more aggressive than ever.

But yeah...if you're not in it for consumer electronics deals (which are really BS anyhow for the special items), then 6-8 a.m. should do fine. You can wake up later to get some modest discounts. Have your aspirin ready.

No! I usually can't stand the crowds and madness. I know the sales are great but I just can't stand the hassle and chaos.

(((hugs)))

no way Jose.

I hate crowds,I hate bad traffic, I hate long lines (esp. at registers), and I'm not about to waste a day off putting up with any of it without a good reason.
