He was PRACTICING genocide. I hope we would have seen (much sooner) that the guy was not just a threat but a real-live mass murderer. It would absolutely have been an act of responsibility to take him out. Not to would have been a HUGE, COSTLY mistake. Makes you think of Ahmadinijead (sp?) huh?

Hitler totally mislead his populace; the leadership during that period of time, managed to evolve quickly over time into something quite grotesque, unlawful, and an entire Nation was mislead via unsound practices.

The language used during that particular leadership; seemed quite up n up at the time to the persons who were gradually conditioned to respond to such nasty ideas.

Modern Germany; however, has formed a sound Government. Back then, during the attrocities of hitler's germany--they had the right to defend themselves and lose.

Any form of genocide is inappropriate; and it is very rare any government will tell you they are going to commit genocide--if they act within genocide, it is a citizen's responsibility to raise the concern.

Germania was NOT defending herself.
The nuclear options of them were vastly
overestimated, as reviews show, mainly
useful as crafted excuse for US budgets
consequently leading to killing of 300,000
women and children in Japan for no reason.

Totally Moot. No one really knew what an atomic bomb was then so it is like saying, If Rome had jet bombers could they have stopped the Huns.

I agree.

Britain did want to go to war to eliminate Hitler but unfortunately France and the US rejected the idea until it was too late.

He DID try to build a nuclear bomb! Further we DID take him out! What's your point?

If Todo thinks that dropping the bombs on Japan was "for no reason," then he really is ill-informed about history, particularly of this error and, therefore, is ill-equipped to answer this question.

It depends, are we assuming that he has already shown the ability to destroy the lives of millions, by droppping one or two on civilian targets, or showing that a country that has had this history, is threatening him?

nice strawman argument, by the way.

Hitler was trying to build a nuke (why did he want the water from Norway so badly?), and so were the Japanese.
Myself...well, I'm glad we beat them to it.
