Harry Frazee

The man who sold Babe Ruth, in case you didn't know. I am not a Sox fan but selling Babe Ruth has to put you pretty high up on the list of worst owners.

Charles Comiskey is still # 1. Owner of the Black Sox, if he could have let go of a nickel he might have won in 1919 instead.

# 2: George Steinbrenner. Doesn't know a baseball from that big thing on his face, can't handle people better than Adolf Hitler handled Jewish people, and started money ball, which means if you don't earn $100,000 a year you can't take your family to 3 baseball games.

I have to agree with all the answers who claim that Marge Schott was the worst owner. To the person who said George Steinbrenner, I simply don't agree with you. George has, yes, had many unmemorable moments, but his dedication to the fans and winning has always been in the forefront.

Any of the last few owners of the Expos -- Brochu, Bronfman, or Loria (who still infests MLB in Miami), or Seligula himself. Reinsdorf. Large Marge (who owned the Reds, BTW). Argyros. Murdoch, when he held the Dodgers (wonder if he even knew it?). In retrospect, Shrub in Arlington, with the rest of the Rangers' doofi consortium. Huizenga. Comiskey. Glass. McLane has his pluses but really needs not to involve himself beyond writing checks.

Geez, there's just so many to choose from....

To the first responder...............Marge Schott was the owner of the Cincinnati Reds.

The owner of the Cardinals has been the Anheuser-Busch Brewery until they were recently sold to a group led by William De Witt

The worst owner without a doubt has been George Steinbrenner and and his meddlesome sons

Cominsky. Not even Steinbrenner ever came close to having players throw a world series on him. Marge Schott is probably first for recent times.

Marge Schott when she owned the St. Louis Cardinals.

MAN, she was a loser!

Oops -- my bad; the Reds is correct.
But Marge still sucked.
