Here in the U.S.A., no one can name a single right we have lost. President Bush has made some serious errors in judgment, such as ordering the detention of Padilla and denying him his rights, despite the fact that he is an American citizen. But the courts (eventually) corrected this situation.

I still have every right that I have ever had. I live in the greatest country in the world, and under God. And God bless the U.S. Military, for keeping it that way!

Yes- and most of it is being taken away by Governments playing the "war on terror" card.

Makes you wonder about the real reason for invading Iraq doesn't it? Was it WMD, was it to get Saddam - or just a means to an end?

I am sorry but after 22 years on active duty defending your rights I finally get to kick back and enjoy them myself. You know. I can't think of one right that I have lost. I guess either I never had them or as john kerry aledged I may be stupid.

Due to the war on terror, rights are being trumped by secret incremental changes in laws affecting civil rights.

But criminal rights are still in tact. You can't fight the powerful defence lawyers' lobby!!!
