Sure he did. On the very brief tv show she had (called Mrs. Columbo), she was played by Kate Mulgrew, who later went on to play Capt. Janeway on Star Trek:Voyager.

Apparently you dont rememeber the series "Mrs. Columbo".

Kate Columbo, the wife of famed L.A.P.D. detective Philip Columbo of the series "Columbo". Lieutenant Columbo is never seen, just as Kate is never seen in the series about Philip.

Kate is a mother (of Jenny) and works as a journalist for Josh Alden, the publisher of the Weekly Advertiser in San Fernando, California. Stories follow Kate as she uses her amateur sleuthing abilities to solve crimes.

You've never seen Mrs. Columbo, but you've also never seen Sheridan, Hyacinth's son in Keeping Up Appearances. They must keep them locked up somewhere and it saves on wages for the cast, if they don't actually exist.

I also have a wife, but you never see her.

Mrs. Columbo exists only in his mind. Who could live with such an excentric, odd individual? It would be almost as bad as Mr. Monk!

I think he does. It is like Norm's wife, Vera, on "Cheers," often spoken of, but never seen. Or, Niles' wife, Maris, on "Frasier." It is almost like they are unpaid members of the cast--they are so often mentioned.

she's a house mouse... if it wasn't for her he'd been lost.. you know all those reminders and pencils.. notepads....

other little things... of course maybe she died a long time ago and he's not be able to let go.. just keeps going on about his good wife and how she keeps him straight.

i hope he remembered to bury her... whoah!
