Whatever you do, just be careful. Don't give out too much personal information to strangers. I've friends from Singapore to the Philippines and others in this country. However, I just don't give out my personal information that they can trace me unless I know someone well enough.

Just go on line like to myspace and such hit the browse button and look for people that seem interesting or go to the chat rooms and find a topic that interests you and join in

You appear to be doing it now. Just talk to someone who's opinions you relate to, and start some dialogue. Then, if you relate well, ask them for their email address and go from there. Good luck.
