The excitement especially when your younger and believe in all the ‘magic’, and giving and receiving gifts. The worst thing is… taking all the Christmas decorations down.. But I guess that’s not at Christmas but I cant think of anything bad about Christmas lol!

Well, you could say that the worst thing is how it used to be a Holiday about giving selflessly and celebrating the Christian faith but has now turned into an overcommerciallized greedy holiday used as an excuse to get off school and work. Or you could say that it's because the reason it was started in the first place is because Christians wanted to wipe out every other religion, so they took the Pagan holiday of Yule, which was at about the same time, and turned it into a celebration of Christ's birthday, even though it is believed that Jesus Christ was truly born some time around March or April.

the gift giving in general. you never know if your doing too much or not enough for someone. i got a gift card for my sister last year for 25 dollars for walmart and she said what can i do with that like a spoiled brat. im 23 and on my own. i have 6 brothers and sisters, two sets of remarried parents, my boyfriends family, etc. i dont have all the money in the world ya know, lol. i got all my siblings and some of there mates 25 gift cards. that added up alone..
the worst part also is working all the overtime to afford gifts and things. i love buying gifts and making people smile. but in the end you end up broke and over worked. its no fun lol. then all the cooking and cleaning to prepare for family is a hassle as well. its expensive to cook a decent christmas dinner anymore. you almost have to start saving money 6 months in advance to afford everything. then you have the tree and decorations. you get bored of things and replace them or something breaks and you want new things. then you have to send out cards and do things for co workers as well. its quite stressful all around anymore.

Worst thing about Christmas is the fact that you have to spend all your money on others and then you're skint and the fact that you're worrying whether they'll like their present or not. If you don't have a clue about what to buy people as well - that's a nightmare and then having to wrap all the gifts! ARGGHHH!! And the mess all over the place when every-one has opened their gifts. Oh! It's the one day of the year you have to spend the WHOLE day with family - it drives me crazy not being able to see my mates! Oh! and my little brother always wakes up at like 4am in the morning to open 'santa's' presents and wakes every-one else up and we all have to suffer early morning jumping on the bed and screaming!! And I can't spend Christmas day with my dad - sob. :( You also have to talk to all the family that you NEVER see all on christmas (like REALLY old Nanna Chrissie that you thought had died already) and you know they don't actually like you, they just have to come and visit and give you gifts because it's christmas and you can't wait for them to leave. That sucks. CHRISTMAS CRACKER JOKES AHHHHHH. I HATE THEM!! Now that I think about it - Christmas is a nightmare. I should go live in a mountain like the Grinch but I don't think I could handle eating garbage and that annoying little dog. I do love the food and the decorated tree though and the fantastic movies. We always have smoked Salmon for breakfast with scrambled egg and toast. I'm allowed to drink alcohol on Christmas day. Yay! I can't wait for Christmas!

That the religious meaning has largely been removed, ignored or laughed at. "Christmas" is The Mass of Christ.
Target sells Christmas cards, trees, nativity scenes but even if a CUSTOMER says "Merry Christmas" to the cashier on the way out the employee cannot say it back even if he/she wants to, it's really a shame.

I think the worst thing about christams is people who excpect presents. Christmas shouldn't be about materialistic gifts. Its about being kind to one another. and sharing what you do have. not goign ot the store and wraping up an item and putting a bow on it.
