the killing curse will probably even kill a werewolf, other than silver.

Lupin's being a werewolf is of no matter in this case. In Rowlings story the only two beings to survive the killing curse are Harry and Fawkes. And in both cases it kills both, though in the case of Harry it only killed him when he went into the forest to let Voldemort kill him.

The first time Voldemort tried using the killing curse on Harry, his mother's sacrifice caused the curse to rebound back onto it's master. In book seven when Harry allowed him to use it on him, it did kill Harry. But because of what Voldemort did in book 4, using some of Harry's blood to regain his body, Harry doesn't die and crossover into the spirit realm. Rather Harry entered a near death state and, as Dumbledore pointed out in his catching a train analogy, he had the choice between returning to the land of the living and crossing over into the spirit realm thusly dieing completely.

Fawkes, on the other hand, is probably closer to being imortal than any other creature or character in the books. In the Battle in the Ministry, Voldemort tried casting a killing curse on Dumbledore. Fawkes swooped in and swallowed the curse before it could kill his master. Swallowing the curse caused Fawkes to burst into flames. But because Fawkes is a phoneix, a new baby Fawkes rose from the ashes that marked his death.

Harry and Fawkes are the only two to survive the killing curse. Everyone else struck by the curse dies no matter who or what they are. Lupin would be no different.

JK Rowling confirmed in an interview after book 7 that he was killed by Avada Kedavra from Dolohov, the death eater, and his wife was killed by Bellatrix.

Werewolves aren't immortal. Anything could kill one. Theories aren't needed. He died in the war, and that's it. What I really want to know is if his kid would be part werewolf....
