They are arrogant all right. Once they have seen them, they will make all kinds of stories up to cover themselves. It is already like Jackanory

You're right, they are suspects, and I don't see Robert Murat demanding access to their files. If they are innocent, then they know that there can't be anything incriminating in the files, so therefore they don't need to read them because their lawyers can effectively clear them. If there is no evidence, there can be no charges. Can't they keep themselves out of the papers for one day? Let the police do their job, and stop with the statements from Clarence (the worst spokesman in the world.)

They should NOT be allowed to read any of the files until, they have the person or persons responsible for this crime, locked up and behind bars!
Arrogant is an understatement!

Not arrogant, they're just trying to cover up if they did do it. If they didn't, they have nothing to worry about.
My personal opinion is, being doctors, they gave their kids things to sedate them which is why they kept checking up on them every half an hour (to make sure they were ok). They give Madeline an overdose by accident and killed her.
The worst thing for them could be that imagine if their kids hated the sedative things so Madeline kinda fought back and cried and went "waa! no! don't want it!" and stuff and the last memory they have of her and she has completely is them trying to force her to take this thing and its basically a negative thing.

If they are in the end to defend themselves they will need to know the whole case against them so that they can answer the charges. it is not arrogance it is a basic entitlement

they are shocked because they have to wait so long they made a mistake leaving their kids but they didn't hide her but some one did and is still is
