The Yankees seem to be looking to hire Don Mattingly. They want to hire him because he's been a bench coach under Torre and I think they wanted to groom him to eventually take over. Plus, Mattingly is a big name still in New York as he was a very solid player as a former Yankee so he brings star power.
I'd hire Joe Girardi. Mattingly might be the popular choice but he has no managerial experience and admitted to it as such. While Girardi has only managed one year, he was NL Manager of the Year and showed he can also stand up to management and tell them to let him do his job.
Cashman must have pictures of Steinbrenner and family in compromising positions or something. I would have fired him well before now. But if they make the wrong decision for manager there's no question he'll be out the door.

First of all, this question is NOT important.
Second of all, it doesnt matter who they hire as the yankees will continue to be without a world series win in the 21st century.
Third of all, which one of your other 10 accounts will you give best answer too?
